“The Acumen course not only gave me a useful frame for thinking about day-to-day challenges in my work at Living Cities, but also tools and skills to help me implement the concepts of adaptive leadership. Taking the course alongside other Living Cities staff allowed us to have actionable and constructive conversations about how to improve our ways of working as a team.”
-Jeff Raderstrong, Collective Impact Associate
Acumen believes that Adaptive Leadership is a critical skill set to add to your toolbox if you’re looking to drive change in any sector. You will emerge from the course with skills to identify the right problems to solve, ideas for how to mobilize your stakeholders, and a toolkit to better address future adaptive challenges. Changing the way the world tackles poverty is an adaptive challenge. We are thrilled to be working with the Cambridge Leadership Associates (CLA) to offer this free introductory course.
Adaptive Leadership is a practical leadership framework developed by Ron Heifetz and Marty Linsky at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. The Adaptive Leadership course is designed to help individuals and organizations through consequential change in times of uncertainty when there are no clear answers.
